Managing User Notifications

Configure push and email notifications for each User in Safe Food Pro to stay alerted to temperature issues, expiries, and corrective actions.

For: Admins

Safe Food Pro can alert your team to critical food safety events β€” such as a temperature reading out of bounds, a failed check, or an expiring certificate. As an Admin, you control which notifications each User receives and how they are delivered.


Notification Types

There are two delivery methods:

  • Push notifications β€” sent directly to a device and appear as a banner. Tapping the notification opens Safe Food Pro.

  • Email notifications β€” sent to the User's login email. Useful for users who are not regularly on the app.


How to Configure Notifications for a User

  1. Log in to the Admin Console

  2. Navigate to Staff & Users

  3. Click on the relevant User (not a Staff Record β€” Users have a login email)

  4. Select the Details tab in their profile

  5. Scroll down to the Notifications section

  6. Toggle each notification type on or off for Push and Email as required

  7. Click Save

Tip: For your Admin account, consider enabling Temperature Sensor and Blue Notes notifications so you are alerted to critical issues in real time.
