This article covers registering your Monitor Pro Sensor in Safe Food Pro and assigning it to a piece of equipment. Complete Monitor Pro Hardware Set Up before starting these steps.

Connect a new sensor
Log in to the Mobile App.
Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner.
Select Equipment from the menu.
Tap the equipment item you want to assign the sensor to. If you have not added your equipment yet, use the Plus icon to add a new item first.
Tap the three dots icon in the top right corner.
Select Add Sensor.
Follow the on-screen prompts and select Scan Barcode.
Your camera will open. Scan the barcode on the side of the Monitor Pro hardware. The sensor has an 8-digit ID printed on it (for example: 0825123).
If the barcode scan fails:
Tap Skip to manual input.
Enter the ID from your sensor manually. Leave the Security Code field blank.
Note: If a sensor has already been registered to another account (such as another site in your franchise), it cannot be reassigned from the app. Contact [email protected] to have it reassigned.
Assign the sensor to equipment
Once a sensor is connected to your account, assign it to a piece of equipment in the Admin Console.
Log in to the Admin Console.
From the left menu, select Equipment.
Locate the equipment, click the three-dot menu, and select Edit.
Select the Technical Details tab.
Scroll to Sensor Readings and enable the toggle.
Select your sensor from the available list.
Set an Outage time β this is how long the sensor can go without sending a reading before an outage notification is triggered (for example, 100 minutes).
Click Save.
Your sensor is now connected and assigned. Readings will appear on your dashboard within 15 minutes. Next, set up notifications so your team is alerted if a temperature goes out of range β see Temperature Sensor Notifications.
