Corrective Actions on the Admin Console

As an Administrator, the Admin Console gives you powerful tools to assign, track, and report on Corrective Actions.

Whether you are following up on an issue found in a report, or tracking maintenance, this guide covers everything from creation to completion.

Corrective Actions are a type of Task.

The Corrective Actions Dashboard

Your central hub for managing tasks is the Corrective Actions Dashboard.

How to Access It

  1. Log in to the Admin Console.

  2. Go to Tasks from the menu

This page displays all tasks. To filter to just your Corrective Actions:

  1. Click the Type filter

  2. Select Corrective Actions

Filtering Your View

You can filter the dashboard to find exactly what you need. For example, if you want to see all outstanding tasks for a specific chef:

  1. Set the Status filter to "To Do"

  2. Type the name of your staff member in the search bar

How to Add a Corrective Action

Method 1: As a Standalone Action

This is perfect for assigning general tasks, maintenance requests, or verifier instructions (CARs) that aren't linked to a specific daily form.

  1. From the Tasks page, click Create new task.

  2. Set the Task Type to Corrective Action

  3. Input Details: Add the Task Name and description (e.g., "Complete Cooling Foods Training").

  4. Assign: Select the staff member responsible.

  5. Click Next

  6. Schedule: Set the Due Date.

  7. Attach: Add any relevant forms (e.g., the "Training Checklist") or resources.

  8. Save

Method 2: Adding an Action to a Completed Form

If you spot an issue while reviewing a completed form (e.g., a customer complaint about cold food), you can add an action directly to it.

  1. Open a Completed Form (from the Activity Stream or Reports page).

  2. Click the clipboard icon in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Input Details: Add the task (e.g., "Retrain staff on reheating process").

  4. Attach: Attach a training form if needed.

  5. Save.
