Corrective Actions on the Admin Console

As an Administrator, the Admin Console gives you powerful tools to assign, track, and report on Corrective Actions.

Whether you are assigning a training task, following up on an issue found in a report, or tracking maintenance, this guide covers everything from creation to completion.

The Corrective Actions Dashboard

Your central hub for managing tasks is the Corrective Actions Dashboard.

How to Access It

  1. Log in to the Admin Console.
  2. Find the Corrective Action Summary on your main Dashboard.
  3. Click the open arrow to expand and explore all Corrective Actions.

The default view shows all current actions. Key details you can track include:

  • Status: Track the workflow (To Do, Started, Done, Blocked, Cancelled).
  • Assigned: See which team member is responsible.
  • Priority: Identify critical tasks (Low, Normal, High).
  • When Due: See upcoming deadlines. Overdue items will display in red.
  • Form/Resource: Any attached forms or documents needed to complete the task.

Note: You can also view Escalations in this view by selecting the thunderbolt icon.

Filtering Your View

You can filter the dashboard to find exactly what you need. For example, if you want to see all outstanding tasks for a specific chef:

  1. Set Status to "To Do" and "Started".
  2. Set Assignee to the staff member's name.

How to Add a Corrective Action

Method 1: As a Standalone Action

This is perfect for assigning general tasks, maintenance requests, or verifier instructions (CARs) that aren't linked to a specific daily form.

  1. From the Corrective Actions Dashboard, click Create new task.
  2. Input Details: Add the Task Name and description (e.g., "Complete Cooling Foods Training").
  3. Assign: Select the staff member responsible.
  4. Attach: Add any relevant forms (e.g., the "Training Checklist") or resources.
  5. Schedule: Set the Due Date.
  6. Save.

Method 2: Adding an Action to a Completed Form

If you spot an issue while reviewing a completed form (e.g., a customer complaint about cold food), you can add an action directly to it.

  1. Open a Completed Form (from the Activity Stream or Reports page).
  2. Click the clipboard icon in the top right-hand corner.
  3. Input Details: Add the task (e.g., "Retrain staff on reheating process").
  4. Attach: Attach a training form if needed.
  5. Save.

Completing & Editing Actions

You can monitor and update actions directly from the dashboard.

  • To Edit: Click on an action to update its details, reassign it, or add a note for context.

To Complete: Simply change the Status to "Completed" or "Cancelled"
